Y.E.S. experiences mock Friends of NRA banquet at NRA Headquarters
Yesterday the participants of this year's Youth Education Summit came to NRA Headquarters and spent the day learning about the organization and visiting the National Firearms Museum .
After a morning of listening to presentations from General Counsel, NRA University, Clubs & Associations, Eddie Eagle and other programs within the NRA, it was time for lunch.
Seeing as this was the Youth Education Summit, it wasn't going to be any old lunch. Awaiting the kids at the NRA Cafe was a mock Friends of NRA banquet, play money was handed out to the kids to spend on carnival-type games and a bucket raffle. Being a mock banquet, the raffle prizes consisted mainly of hats, t-shirts and similar items as opposed to artwork, knives or firearms.
The kids were seperated into groups based on the debates they would be participating in this week and had a great time making friends with people they had just met the day before.
