Pro Bono Barrister: President Justice Rosenberg Welcomes President D'Apice
Justice Gerard Rosenberg, who has served as the president of the Kings County Inns of Court during the past year, officially turned over the reins of leadership to new President Ross DâApice in ceremonies conducted at the Innâs year-end gala.Sharing the spotlight graciously at the elegant affair were three others who founded the Inn 11 years ago with Justice Rosenberg â Past Presidents Justices Marsha Steinhardt, Abraham Gerges (retired) and the Hon. Edward Rappaport, now in private practice.
âWeâve worked hard to show that lawyers do care about their own and that this care extends to the public we serve,â said Justice Rosenberg. âLike the Ancient Inns of Court, weâve strived to inspire new lawyers by showing them that a good lawyer never stops learning, whether youâre sitting on the bench or appearing in front of it!â
âRoss DâApice is one of the best trial lawyers in the state,â a colleague confided. âJustice Rosenberg will be a tough act to follow,â he observed. âHe is one of the most respected jurists in the city. Yet we [Inn members] can look forward to some very dynamic and realistic trial presentations under President Ross!â The Inn is based on âcollegiality and shared professional experienceâ said Justice Rosenbergâs long-time friend, Hal Braff, a New Jersey attorney who helped the Brooklyn barristers found the Inn and presented an official charter.
Justice Rosenberg lavished praise on Inn Administrator Marie Lattanzi and Executive Director Jeff Feldman for their âsplendid contributions over the years.â

I have been a fan of Lawrence Welk since I was a youngster (not too long ago!) and have watched (and taped) his show every Saturday night on my local PBS station, WGTE and sometimes WBGU.
